A Truck carrying plywood has fallen off the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos.
The truck fell on three commercial buses and a private car under the bridge with many passengers believed to be trapped.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Nigerian Red Cross and the Nigeria Police are currently on ground and are carrying out search and rescue operations.
Two other persons were also injured, according to an update provided by the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Mr Adesina Tiamiyu.
The truck fell off Ojuelegba bridge at about 9pm. Although Number of casualties have not yet been ascertained. RRS personnels are on ground together with lasemasocial to control the situation there.
There are claims that two dead bodies have been retrieved from the accident scene and many more people are still trapped under the container.
This sad incident has now become a regular occurrence in Lagos.
